The purpose of the Georgia Foundation Scholarship for Agriculture is to assist outstanding students who plan to pursue a career focusing on agriculture and who exhibit leadership skills for active involvement in the agriculture sector.
PLEASE NOTE: The scholarship will be applied to the spring semester of academic year, after verification of GPA & enrollment.
To be eligible, applicant must:
1. Be a Georgia resident.
2. Be a graduating high school senior.
3. During the current academic year, enroll in a unit of The University System of Georgia, Berry College, Emmanuel College or any accredited college/university in Georgia with an ag program.
4. Pursue an undergraduate degree in agricultural & environmental sciences, family & consumer sciences or a related ag field.
5. Have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
6. Be engaged in high school leadership activities.
Supporting documents required:
1. Essay outlining your future plans as they relate to agriculture and how you think you can impact the future of the agriculture industry. The essay should be at least one page, but no more than two pages, double spaced, Times New Roman or Arial font.
2. Copy of transcript.
3. Three letters of reference from teachers and/or applicable school representatives (counselors, principals, club advisors, current employer, mentor etc.).
4. Professional photo of the applicant.
